Sir/Madame,
ecbuy.ph

Good Morning! I am Chelsie Grace Celine Pineda, a Business Management student of De La Salle University-Dasmarinas, Dasmarinas Cavite. One of our subjects is E-commerce/E-business, this subject requires us to look for an online shopping and digest it through internet. I've chosen your company and we need to identify the following informations.

Part 1 – Company profile

Part 1 of the eBRP is essentially an introductory component of the paper detailing the company’s history/backgrounds, officers, products and services, organization chart, etc. In details, this section should contain the following subheadings with the needed write up briefly described:

1.1 History of the firm – This portion discusses the historical background about the firm from its beginning to its current state.

1.2 Location of business operations – This portion shows the exact or physical location of the business organization and its factory ( as may be applicable ) along with its Universal Resource Locator ( URL ) or website address.

1.3 Locations of local or foreign branches – This portion will list down the location of foreign branches or outlets ( foreign and local ) as may be applicable )

1.4 Products/Services offered – This portion lists down the products and/or services offered by the firm with their basic descriptions.

1.5 Organizational structure - This section writes something about the firm’s organizational structure at the level of major departments/units or grouping along with a figurative presentation showing the structure and line of command.

1.6 List of hardware and software used – A brief write up and listing of the various hardware and software used by the firm in aid of its computerization efforts.

1.7 Order placement process – Guided by the information posted in the website of the firm, this portion discusses the steps in making an online order or a product/service including a block diagram or schematic presentation of how ordering online takes place.

1.8 Other relevant information - This portion discusses eCommerce/eBusiness matters developments in the firm other than those mentioned above such as awards, milestones, etc. deemed contributory to the eCommerce/eBusiness status of the company.

Part 2 – Existing practices of the company

Part 2 of the eBRP is a sequel to the earlier part which will require some degree of details about the firm and the manner at which information and communication technologies are used in the conduct of the business both at the business-to-business ( B2B ) and business-to-consumer ( B2C ) level. Specifically, this portion will contain write up on the following:

2.1 Computerization initiatives – This section discusses the origin and status of the computerization efforts of the company from its very beginnings all the way to the stage where the firm has reached a level worthy of venturing into a full online business stage.

2.2 Internet applications – This section specifically discusses the uses or application of Internet technology vis-à-vis the conduct of the operations of the firm in the challenging and competitive world of eCommerce/eBusiness.

2.3 Computer network – This portion discusses the computer network covering the Local Area Network ( LAN ) or Wide Area Network ( WAN ) or other forms of networking as may be applicable or necessary.

2.4 Application of online technologies in various departments – This portion will list down the various functional/operating departments specifically identifying which departments have substantial use of information and communication technologies supporting the eBusiness agenda of the firm. From the categorization of the departments/units with key roles in the online business aspects of the firm, specific discussion will be made in each of the functional/operating department where online systems or technologies in each department are in use or is made applicable.

2.5 Online payment system – This section discusses how payment is made for the products/services ordered online. This includes the variety of approaches including offline mode as advocated by some firms ( e. g., ATM deposit to seller’s account, payments via remittance companies, etc. ). This section also should discuss the kinds or types of payment schemes required by the firm as mentioned or discussed in the firm’s website and the FAQs section of the company’s website will be of help.

2.6 Intermediaries of the firm – This section discusses the third parties or intermediaries forming part of the eBusiness strategy of the firm. This aspect will list down or enumerate those firms (i. e., suppliers, distributors with computer/Internet link up with the subject company ) and briefly describing their basic role in regard to the eBusiness initiatives of the firm.

2.7 Fulfillment process – This section discusses the consummation of the business transaction from ordering stage all the way to the delivery of the product to the doorstep of the online buyer. Necessarily, this portion must include a block diagram or schematic presentation of how the entire business process takes place all the way to the delivery of the product to parties who paid for it using the online mode.

2.8 eBusiness performance of the firm – This portion discusses the experience of the company in doing in business online focusing on the positive contribution of Internet technology to the competitiveness and profitability of the firm including sad or negative experiences, if any.

. Part 3 – Proposed eBusiness strategy

Part 1 and Part 2 earlier researched and discussed should have given enough background about the business organization sufficient for the student/researcher to criticize or praise the application of eCommerce/eBusiness theories and principles given what the student has presumably learned about the subject matter. At this stage, and as the course takes is last stage of the one-semester course, the student will be tasked to develop an eBusiness strategy for the firm which shall be the main contents of Part 3.

In context, the proposed eBusiness strategy written in Part 3 is a personal initiative of the student with a view of improving the existing practice of the firm to make it more competitive in the industry or sector it belongs. The proposed eBusiness strategy to be developed by the students shall take into consideration the information gathered as documented in Part 1 and Part 2 and the lecture sessions during the final season along with the information generated by the students outside the classroom/campus as he/she researched on the subject matter.

Doing the Part 3, therefore, is a challenge and opportunity for the student to develop and plan an eBusiness Strategy for the company given the information/data earlier obtained and the knowledge learned from the subject. The level of efforts and due diligence in work exerted in the preparation of Part 1 and Part is vital to the development of Part 3.

Part 3 will have the following contents and sequencing of write up:

3.1 Rationale – This is an introductory write up in Part 3 of the eBRP which outlines the company’s reasons or justifications for embracing the Internet and the information and communication technologies or venturing into the world of eCommerce/eBusiness. The write up should response to the question as to why the company should venture into the world of eCommerce/eBusiness.

3.2 The eCommerce/eBusiness vision statement – Embracing eBusiness strategy demands inclusion of a statement within the vision-mission statement of the subject company. If there is already a vision-statement, it is implied that the student will improve it and if there is none, the student has to propose a vision-mission statement incorporating commitment to embrace eCommerce/eBusiness strategy.

3.2 The eBusiness strategy – This portion will discuss the aspect of how the firm will go about doing is eCommerce/eBusiness strategy anchored on the improvements that has been made vis-à-vis its current practice. 3.6 Application of online technologies in various departments – This portion will be developed with the discussions in section 2.4, however, it is improved context given the input or revisions made by the student. The number of departments to be discussed in this section will depend on the number of departments involved in the eCommerce/eBusiness and the kind of grouping or titling of each department which varies from company to company. At the minimum, discussions should address the application of eCommerce/eBusiness in the following departments as may be applicable:

3.6.1 Administrative department

3.6.2 Accounting/Finance Department

3.6.3 Human Resource

3.6.4 Marketing Department

3.6.5 Production/manufacturing department

3.6.6 Other departments

3.7 Online payment system – Guided by the discussion in section 2.5, discussion on this section will center on the improvements or innovations made on the existing online payment options being used by the firm. Necessarily, this section should provide more options for payment if only to entice more online buyers.

3.8 Fulfillment process – Guided by the discussion in section 2.7, the discussions in the section will focus on the improvements made on the fulfillment process of the firm if only to invite or entice more online buyers promising more efficient fulfillment process.

3.9 Security provisions – This portion will discuss the kind of provisions for security that will assure online buyers as to security and credibility of the website as a business platform. Necessarily, this will discuss some aspects of hardware/software provisions ( e. g. firewall system, security provider companies, etc. ) specifically citing certain hardware and software brands meant to provide security for the online business transactions.

3.10 Other relevant information – This section is the portion where the student can discuss other vital or relevant matters not discussed in the other sections particularly highlighting certain features indicative of an improved or excellent online business platform that is more competitive and one that will attract more online buyers.

Some informations are integrated in your site and I've started my research but I need more information for this. We need to pass one part each term, first part on prelim (December), second on midterm(February), and third on finals(March). But it is acceptable if you just want to give me part one informations for now, this is very much useful for me and also for my research. I am asking for your response. As a student, I am very eager to do this research. I hope you will give me these informations and I will assure you to keep those if needed or if confidential. Your reply is really a big help Sir/Madame. I can understand if you cant't give me, but it is really a helpful tool for me and for my research as a student.

Thank you Sir/Madame!

Sincerely,

Chelsie Grace Celine Pineda
